Should I [30M] go against my girlfriends [32F] wishes and contact the cable company regarding a technicians indecent behavior towards my girlfriend?
I called Comcast a few days ago to schedule a technician to come and install a few cable boxes. When the technician arrived, my father and I met him at my home to explain the work that needed to be done. My girlfriend was also home at the time.
I still had work at the office to do, so my father said to go back to work and he’ll handle it with the Comcast technician. When I arrived back home after work, my father and the Comcast technician already left, and my girlfriend said she had something to tell me but I had to promise not to do anything about it. I agreed to the promise.
She told me that while my father was upstairs, the technician asked if my father was her husband, to which she of course said no, he was her boyfriends father. Soon after the technician began to hit on my girlfriend and kept pushing his phone towards her to get her number. She repeatedly said no and the tech kept insisting saying, “I can come by when he’s at work”. Keep in mind this was a middle aged man with a wedding band on his finger. Eventually he gave up, finished the job, and left.
I know I promised my girlfriend I wouldn’t call Comcast about it, or do anything, but I can’t help but want to. Comcast is already a scummy company, and I’m forced to be contracted to them due to my Homeowners Association, and I paid for this service, only to have a technician come and hit on my girlfriend and insistently push his phone towards her for her number. He of course knows where I live now and I’m sure be taking further calls around my area.
Should I go against my girlfriends wishes and contact the cable company regarding a technicians indecent behavior toward my girlfriend?
TL;DR: While I was at work, my father and girlfriend were at my house so that a Comcast technician can install some cable boxes. While my father was upstairs, the technician began to hit on my girlfriend and kept pushing his phone towards her to get her number. She repeatedly said no and the tech kept insisting saying, “I can come by when he’s at work”. My girlfriend made me promise not to contact Comcast about it or do anything. Should I go against her wishes and let Comcast know about their technicians indecent behavior?
