Why does attraction seem so random?

It totally seems random, I can’t really pick out why I’m attracted to certain girls as much as I am. They don’t have any patterns either, some are really pretty, some are only ok. Some fit one archetype, another fits a totally different one. I just can’t put my finger on why some girls I can’t get out of my head while others are meh. And I feel the same back about me. There’s some girls who literally won’t even give me a chance, like I’m a disease. Meanwhile there are some gorgeous ass girls that I couldn’t beat off with a stick if I tried. What gives. Help finding a girlfriend

I’m a 29 y/o male and I haven’t been in a relationship in almost 5-6 years. I don’t know how to flirt very well and I don’t have many friends to meet women through friends. I’m 6’1 and weigh 263 so I’m definitely overweight. I don’t look very obese though because of my height. I don’t earn a ton of money (33k / yr). I live in an apartment with roommates and it’d be kind of awkward to bring a girl here if I had to. I recently quit alcohol entirely, so I’m hoping that will cut some of my weight. I’ve tried bumble and tinder with little luck. I’m looking for a woman that is low key like myself and I can just enjoy my time with without having to try really hard to come across as interesting. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of meeting the right woman? Submitted November 17, 2022 at 12:08AM I’m a 29 y/o male and I haven’t been in a relationship in almost 5-6 years. How can I [20M] progress a relationship with a girl I’m dating [20F]?

A couple months ago, I started talking to this girl in my class who I sit next to. We got along well, so I asked her out and she said yes. Both of us are pretty shy so progress has been slow, but we’ve been on like 2 or 3 dates now, in addition to seeing each other twice a week in class. Neither of us have any prior relationship experience. On our last date, we established that we both like each other and want to continue going out. I guess my main problem is that I don’t know how to make any progress from here. Even though she said she likes me and keeps agreeing to go out with me, it feels like she’s not putting in a whole lot of effort. I’ve been the one to plan every date, it’s usually me who initiates conversation, etc. I also haven’t had any opportunities to kiss her, though she might not be ready for that. And she declined my offer to pick her up for our last date. My main concern is just getting into a boring routine where we keep going out to dinner or a movie or whatever, ...

/u/amateurbitch on AFAB Asexuals, what's your experience with Birth Control?

I've been on the pill since around 14 or 15 because of my endometriosis. 2 surgeries later I'm starting continuous birth control again. I don't really notice much but I will say I prefer not missing my period because there's less breakthrough bleeding etc. My pain was still excruciating on birth control pre surgery but my flow was wayyyy lighter. Your doctor will decide what type of birth control is best for you but I will say I really liked the patch. Replace it once a week and you're good to go. When you go to the obgyn you likely won't even need to have an internal exam. If you do let them know you have a lot of anxiety with that. Obgyns are the most careful and conscious doctors I've been to. I hope you find something that works for you 💓 November 16, 2022 at 11:38PM

/u/Beginning_Today_2112 on Is anyone else absolutely terrified of the idea of having sex?

Yeah, me. I always thought sex is harmful activity full of germs and people seem to hate me for that, no idea why. November 16, 2022 at 11:38PM
