Anyone else have far deeper conversations with their crush by text than in person?

For me it’s like, no-one would know we were the same two people if they read our texts and saw us together. Submitted October 23, 2020 at 12:06AM For me it’s like, no-one would know we were the same two people if they read our texts and saw us together.

Advice

Advice Well I’m generally not the one to look for advice since I usually figure it out on my own but I’ve been stressed over a girl for no reason. Im one of those overthinkers late at night and lose sleep because of stupid thoughts. Basically heres the scenario: Me and this girl talked for about a month, we both like each other but because of quarantine and other things that such as stressed/busy with personal things i wanted some space between us and decided to stop being the one to constantly hit her up. 1 week pass and then she asks me a question about something work related, i answer and thats it. I decide to hit her up during the summer and ask her a few questions. She ignored all of them exceot answering the “how are you”. Fastforward i wish her a happy birthday and she has left me on delivered. Ive been stressed because i have been emotional and lonely lately for some odd reason, i normally don’t do this over people but idk. I cant be overthinking this and say she just doesn’t...

Yeah he was cast for a role as a trans woman that should have gone to a trans woman, and sympathizing with terfs/transphobic people is transphobic October 23, 2020 at 12:01AM

/u/Sabatorius on Asexuality and Spirituality. How does being ace fit into your spiritual life?

Same, lol. I am to spirituality what being asexual is to sexuality. When people talk about it, I just cannot relate. October 22, 2020 at 11:58PM

/u/MissMockingbirdie on Where could I find some aesthetically pleasing (info)graphics to use for an ace week announcement on some of my discords?

There's some interesting options when you google "asexual infographic", including ones that explain the difference between sexual orientation and romantic orientation, which can make it easier to understand. October 22, 2020 at 11:48PM

That might be a part of my groups issue, we have boys and girls, and cover the LGBTA lmao. Yeah, major issues with double dipping. People just... Flip out over it. October 22, 2020 at 11:39PM

Actually he's not anti trans. He played a ground breaking trans woman in a movie and he says he disagrees with Rowling. He just disagrees with some of the more vicious comments about her - calling them disgusting. I can see where he's coming from but it's a complex issue. I don't really agree with him. Her anti trans conspiracy theories can really harm people who don't have the money and resources to insulate themselves like she has. If you poke the bear the bear pokes back. She can always choose not to voice her bullshit - without it affecting her health and well-being. October 22, 2020 at 11:38PM

That’s sort of true. In my experience double dipping is a sin (I was a kid and did it on accident and was yelled at by my classmates), but I’ve seen lots of girls (never boys) sharing drinks October 22, 2020 at 11:36PM

It's kinda related, because no one bat's an eye at a couple sharing food, they even think it's cute, but if a group of friends does it isn't acceptable October 22, 2020 at 11:35PM

Exactly! Thanks for helping me put it into words :D October 22, 2020 at 11:22PM

Maybe. I'm from Florida, which has a weird mix of cultures, because it's the most northern of the South States despite it being the southernmost one. Plus a bunch of prudish old people. The only people it's considered fine to share the same food item with is family, and even that's a tad iffy. With one half of the family, drinking from each others drinks, sharing food and such is ok, but on the other sharing drinks is heavily frowned upon, and you aren't allowed to put any food that's been eaten from (even if the bitten part was cut off) back in with the rest of the food, it has to have its own container. Eddie Redmayne, too? Crud. I wasn't aware of that. October 22, 2020 at 11:20PM

/u/dimensionalDreamr on How would I describe romantic attraction to someone?

Hi I feel romantic attraction towards other girls as well :) Romantic in the sense that I want to have a deeper emotional bond, do sweet things for each other, hold hands, cuddle, and basically everything normal couples do (minus the sex part). I recently came to terms with this as well, my attraction towards females confused me, since I feel it quite strongly, but it's never that I see someone I'm attracted to and want to have sex with them or to sexualize them, it's moreso I love their style/their vibe and want to hold hands w them walking through the park lol. Hope this somewhat helps in regards to explaining it to your mom! October 22, 2020 at 11:14PM

/u/jellysquishsquash on A question for sexually active aces from a questioning grey/demi: what is sex like without sexual attraction?

That's really helpful - thank you for sharing! Yeah I understand - I sometimes (but not always) I feel that. Sometimes I want to have sex but it's the intimacy and closeness that I crave rather than the act of sex itself. If I were told I could never have sex again I would feel indifferent. It's super helpful to hear other's experiences and helps me put mine a little more into perspective. I've been trying to figure out if I fit into this community and the more I hear the more it resonates with me. There's so much sex-repulsed-talk that it makes me doubt a lot, but hearing you and others that are sexually active it makes me feel better that I'm on the right path to finding where I fit. Lol yes. They're actually a slight shade lighter and my contacts are tinted blue (blue so you can actually see the contacts to pick them up) so it makes my eyes look even more blue October 22, 2020 at 11:10PM
