I'm heteroromantic ace so my experience is going to be somewhat different from those who are aromantic. But basically I would get crushes on boys, but they always remained PG rated. I would like the thought of kissing a guy or holding his hands, but my fantasies toward the guys I liked didn't go much further than that. I also just didn't think to check out men's bodies. Other women will ooh and ahh over the picture of a shirtless fireman, and I don't understand what they're talking about. Or they'll be able to name a body part of a man they find sexy, and I won't be able to relate at all. I just don't find any part of a man's body sexy. Oddly enough, I can say a woman's boobs are sexy because I will notice that when I look at female swimsuit models. It doesn't make me want to keep looking at female swimsuit models though. Hope I could help some! anyways, I didn’t really talk about crushes much with my friends, but in elementary school if we brought it up I would say I liked someone and then realize a couple days later that I didn’t actually feel any attraction to them. In middle school I said i didn’t have a crush on anyone at the moment if someone asked, and was at times met with responses of “that’s not possible, you have to have a crush on SOMEONE!” which made me question myself and dig into the people around me to find out who a had a crush on. So there's being horny, desiring stimulation on your naughty bits(libido) and there is being sexually attracted to a person. These are separate things. I would assume the former is responsible for a lot of masturbation among non ace people as well. Like responsible for half the times people say "you need to get laid". I highly doubt a person has to see a pretty person they are sexually attracted to in order to kick off the desire to have a one night stand with a random person and then seek out someone they are actually attracted to in a club or what not.
