/u/RamenCorgi1744 on Anyone else just get that sense of relief when they discovered they were ace?

YES! my exact words were 'HOLY SHIT THATS ME!" with some happy screeching afterward. April 18, 2021 at 11:51PM

I have a theory that aro-aces are more likely to realize they are asexual than romantic asexuals because most people think as sexual and romantic attraction as one in the same, I never really thought I was ace for this very reason until my friend suggested I was and I looked into it, because I don’t really seem like anything lgbtq+ until you realize I’m ace, and that’s the only lgbtq thing about me really. /u/Dominator2680 on Where are my fellow ace hockey fans?

Not the NY Giants, though. They are the best team in the NFL. They should have won the division last year. If you could not tell, I am a Giants fan lol. April 18, 2021 at 11:49PM

Self-diagnosed autistic ace, here. I love data like this, it makes me feel like the pieces are coming together. Do I need the pieces to click? Maybe not... Bit I do like the feeling of the sense they make. April 18, 2021 at 11:49PM

Yeah, I don't necessarily agree with all the ways this information was presented but I am not a member of the Asexual Census team so I do not have a say in it. The Asexual Census is the best we have to get information like this but I do think that they should have focused on accuracy for this infographic rather than this sensationalist piece. Not really actually, if you squeeze it while it's on with a towel, it's fine. At least for me. April 18, 2021 at 11:48PM

/u/ThePinkTeenager on Can I still identify as ace even tho I have a crush on someone?

Personally, I experience two of those and have experienced romantic attraction in dreams(that counts, right?). April 18, 2021 at 11:47PM

/u/Traditional-Ad7717 on Does anyone else view those that "need" sex as having a weakness? (no offence intended!)

I don’t believe these people are weak, I think they just have different needs. I don’t comprehend their particular needs, but I feel bad for them needing to seek out sexual relationships for the sake of their own sanity. April 18, 2021 at 11:47PM

Thank you for the correction. I saw multiple things and I didn't know which was most accurate. April 18, 2021 at 11:46PM

/u/Nerddess on I've had it. I'm just telling people now, which I guess is "coming out"

I'm tempted to say that's sexual harrassment and should be reported, because that is definitely not normal under regular circumstances, and absolutely should not exist in the workplace regardless of your field... April 18, 2021 at 11:44PM

I might be demisexual as well, but I don’t know yet. April 18, 2021 at 11:43PM

Woah! I am a Hurricanes fan also. April 18, 2021 at 11:43PM

/u/ThePinkTeenager on Happy Autism Acceptance Month!

Hi! I’m autistic and recently found out that I’m ace. As for the statistics: I’m professionally diagnosed(Asperger’s Syndrome), not aromantic, do not identify as queer, not trans or poly, and a little scared by the suicide statistic. Thank you for doing this. April 18, 2021 at 11:41PM

Care to explain? I was under the impression that it worked similarly to other diagnosable conditions but I myself am not autistic and would like to hear any thoughts on it. April 18, 2021 at 11:39PM

/u/Not_Machines on Do y'all prefer playing less obviously sexualized characters in videogames?

I don't care for chainmail armor but I don't mind customizing my character in a way that an allo might consider sexy but for me is just something I consider aesthetically attractive. That being said it does annoy me when women characters clearly exist just for the sake of make gaze. April 18, 2021 at 11:39PM

Hey, nice graph, but don't you think it's weird to count all the "unsure" answers as if they were yes in the text of the top left and top right image? It would be better to count them as no, and then just say "at least". Like, "at least a sixth of ace people are on the spectrum" . April 18, 2021 at 11:38PM
