Need advice

Im not sure if this the right page to ask this but here we go. This is the first real relationship me (M24) and her (F23) have ever been in and it’s been a great time. However there is something she told me and that she was a rape victim. When she told me this I really didn’t know what else to do besides hug her and just say I’m really sorry it happened. She told me she was afraid of telling me because she thought I would just leave and that’s that. I stayed w her because it’s not her fault and I wouldn’t go anywhere besides staying w her. After this convo happened, it was brought up again a few weeks later but this time she told me that she has a child with her rapist. This is where it gets wild and a HUGE curveball for me since I’ve met her family beforehand and that is that her child is her “sibling” in her family. Her parents know that it’s her child and treat her as their own but my gfs daughter doesn’t know she’s her mother. Her rapist is still in her life since they’re cousins

Men and women, how do you feel and see your partner (Male) in particular after they vent, cry, or share their problems?

Hey, this is a random question, but I’m genuinely curious how people tend to see their spouse or partner after they decide to let someone in. Like if a man cries in front of you, shares their worries, or vents about on going issues, does that make them less attractive in your eyes? I recently had a co worker voice this opinion and said this is why he’ll never vent because deep down it’s programmed into women to see men less than when they open up or cry and they lose respect for them. Took me a back honestly, but I’d thought I’d bring it to Reddit to see how people feel on this topic. Should men ever open up or should they repress everything? Dating a girl (39F) for 2-3 months, found out she's seeing someone else. Am I overreacting?

I (39M) have been dating a girl (39F) for about 2-3 months. We're both divorced with a few kids, and have been spending 1-2 nights a week at each other's houses (when the kids aren't there), hanging out at bars, having fun, and chilling. We also go unprotected. We text daily, have long phone calls, and share the mundane details of our lives, including ex-related dramas. We've been having deep emotional conversations too, discussing what we've learned from our breakups/therapy. Both of us are busy professionals. Recently, she told me that we never had the "relationship chat" and she's been dating another guy, doing the same things with him as with me. She didn't think it was relevant because we weren't officially in a relationship. I calmly said I'm out because I don't want to invest so much time on someone for just sex. She didn't respond well, accusing me of gaslighting and being insecure. She might have hoped to make me jealous

How will you even start a conversation to a guy?

Had these experiences where i couldn't even tell a single word. lol well ofcourse that happen before, but rn most of the guys talk to me first. Well im just curious how to talk first, cause sometimes it feels different. How would u guys react if a girl talks to you first lol Submitted April 28, 2023 at 12:11AM Had these experiences where i couldn't even tell a single word. lol well ofcourse that happen before, but rn most of the guys talk to me first.
