Feel like I messed up first date

Hi all! I had made another reddit post but decided to condense it since it was too long. I decided to download an OLD app as I felt ready to see what’s out there. Here is what i’m overthinking now: I (26f) matched with a guy (28m) and soon after we set up a date for the weekend. Yay!! About 3 days had passed and we hadn’t talked ever since setting up the date, so the night before the date I decided to message him. He didn’t respond. The day of the date he didn’t message me, which I thought was odd. I’ve heard many horror stories of people being ghosted that I kinda went into protective mode and assumed that he was standing me up. In hindsight, I know I should have texted him one more time to confirm so that what ended up happening next didn’t happen. A few minutes before we were supposed to meet, he texts me that he’s at the restaurant. Mind you, I hadn’t heard from him in like 3 days. I immediately feel bad for assuming he was standing me up and try to make my way over there as soon

/u/snowwlynx on Aromantic but with high romantic desire?

I’m an ace cupioromantic and I struggle with the same thing. I have honestly not found a solution yet and I’m really worried about how my future will look like. I really desire a relationship but I have no attraction. October 03, 2022 at 12:17AM

/u/leeeeaaa on Danish and French people here, would it be inappropriate for American me to try a version of your single/unmarried traditions?

As a french person, Sainte Catherine is really amatonormative and mysoginistic. It's not about celebrating single women, it's about saying oh you poor thing, we hope you find a man soon. In my region it's even worse because you start celebrating Ste Catherine not at 25 but once you get your period. So it's really like 'great you hit puberty now you have one purpose in life, finding a man'. My generation really fights back on it, asking our grandparents/parents not to wish us happy Ste Catherine. But if you want to take inspiration and make something positive of it go ahead. How much of a red flag is it that I'm 26 and have never been in a relationship

Without going into too much detail, I used to be in a position where it made sense that I hadn't dated yet. Over the past few years, I've worked on myself and followed a lot of the advice that gets posted around the place, and overall I am in a much better place. I'm proud of how far I've come, but the problem is I'm still a 26 year old guy who hasn't even gotten past holding a woman's hand. So at the start of this year, that all pays off and I manage to set up a date with a girl who I really liked. First date, things were going well, and the topic of dating came up and I told her I hadn't really dated before. She seemed a little taken aback but nothing too serious, (I kind of expected that anyway) but from that point on she was noticeably quieter. The date ends, it's pretty obvious she doesn't want to hug/kiss or anything so we just part ways. I get a text a bit later on from her saying she's sorry, but she had a bad experience with someon

/u/The-Pencil-King on Which animal(s) represent asexuality?

Well biologically a few animals can reproduce asexually, like sharks or Komodo dragons, both of which usually mate but have been shown to be able to produce offspring without the need for a mate. Vibes wise though I’ve always got an ace vibe from platypi. Not sure why. October 02, 2022 at 11:25PM

/u/throwaceornotaceblob on What’s your MBTI?

MBTI is bs. Anyways, I am ENTJ apparently. October 02, 2022 at 11:22PM
