/u/thelastsara_ on So, I have to come out to my mother every six months, this one takes the cake.

something similar happened with my mom (minus the culty stuff, so sorry abt all that) she loves her gay coworker and talks about him all the time but lost it when I came out as a lesbian (and I mean lost it ). That was 3 years ago, and now she texts my gf regularly and exchanges recipes with her. While I can't speak directly to your situation, I can promise that it does get better as time goes on :) you are valid and i wish u the world June 19, 2020 at 11:56PM

/u/rhemasu on This, as a closet bi, is part of my project for pride 2020. I want the project to include many parts of the LGBTQ+ community so here’s my representation of ace people. Happy pride!

After taking suggestions from you guys, I ended up making this painting for the ace flag part of my project. I’m sorry the dragons aren’t purple and black but that wouldn’t have worked as well with the flag background. Edit: you can find the whole project here June 19, 2020 at 11:47PM

/u/MONOTODO on Is there a reason my last post was taken down? Just wrote my story on how I figured out I was ace & that I'm happy to finally have that knowledge and just wanted to share it with a community that would understand.

Yea, probably the anti spam mistaked your post. Sometimes happens. June 19, 2020 at 11:43PM

/u/Cakeyplane on Asexual/Sexual Pairings

I am asexual my wife is not. I asked her out and was sure to mention that I was asexual and that a relationship with me may mean never having sex with me, with my previous time’s being non-consensual as well and I was having to deal with that trauma. She was cool with that and nearly a year in we did the dirty, I felt connected enough to at least try and we had safe words so i could end it any moment. Having that safety net helps a lot and constantly reassured that it’s okay. It was not something I fully enjoyed and so we don’t really do it often, like once or twice every two months. but when we do we incorporate both our kinks and so this way it feels more fulfilling and exciting, and less of a less have sex, and more let’s have do some erotic shit. Other than that the physical needs are often treated with self pleasure. We are not open, fully committed to just each other and me being ace has little impact with our marriage cause it was talked about and solutions were made. Luckily f

Just really disheartening cause I spent like 20 minutes writing it and now I don't even have the text anymore... Guess I'll have to do that, thanks. June 19, 2020 at 11:42PM

Surprised no one has mentioned Bojack in this thread, the show that is. Don’t want to say who or what but I’ll leave it at that. It’s the show that got me thinking about this stuff so that’s cool. Really dark show though, so beware June 19, 2020 at 11:24PM

/u/Opinionator35 on Asexual/Sexual Pairings

The couple I am working with as a sex therapist have been married for almost 40 years. They came from a religious background that discouraged premarital sexuality. The Ace had no problem with that of course. The Allo thought it would change after. They have proceeded to have sex once a week for years. But the Ace does not perceive romance, intimacy, or flirting. Not against it; just doesn't perceive it. They don't want to break up and had a semi-open relationship until recently. Now they're stuck. To quote @Skelpyy on Twitter: Telling people "My bloodline ends with me" -dramatic -your bloodline feels sacred and mystical -vaugley threatening All jokes aside, that sucks! Sorry to hear that happened. June 19, 2020 at 11:12PM

Do you regret being married?

Hello Marriage Redditor reading this, I am a 22 year old female and growing up I always wanted to get married and have kids the whole Disney Shebang. I’m in my 20’s and I am in my dating phase of my life. However, I have noticed several things. Many men or boys (not trying to be offensive pardon my ignorance I know it’s spectrum now) do not want to be married. They are now about something I have come to known as “Red Pill” and even if they are not “Red Pill” they don’t wish to get married because of divorce and and child support. Those sorts of things. All I want to ask is do you regret getting married? Men or women? Or just anyone honestly. Do you wish you weren’t married? If you were growing up in my generation or you are my generation and you are married. How is it? How are you? Any advice? Do you regret being married? Sincerely, Thatchemistrystudent Submitted June 20, 2020 at 12:02AM Hello Marriage Redditor reading this, I am a 22 year old female and growing up I always
