I've (M39) been in the situation a few times where I meet someone, usually online, and they're nice, I like them, but we're not really on the same page with some things, namely goals and finances. I'm not rich and money isn't everything, but it is important. I've worked hard to get to this point and looking for the same, and someone around my age should kinda have things together by now. (I'd like to buy a house and maybe have kids eventually, and I'd never make it happen on my own.) I feel a little guilty turning them down, but I guess maybe we're not compatible?
