/u/LostFun4 on If you had the choice between being asexual or allosexual which would you choose and why?

It depends if my experience as an ace is the same as it is now. If it does, i would choose allo so i wouldn’t constantly doubt my own sexuality, cause its annoying and tiring. I can stick to being ace without the self doubt tho. March 07, 2021 at 11:42PM

/u/RxsePxtels on If you had the choice between being asexual or allosexual which would you choose and why?

Honestly? I don't know. Being allo would mean I don't have to deal with aphobia (pro) but I'd get sexually frustrated (con) and would have to worry about getting sexually transmitted diseases (con) Being ace (as I already am) would mean the possibility of aphobia (con) but no sexual frustration (pro). Except dating would be hard (con) So now we've got an equal amount of pros and cons for each one. It comes down to the choice part. I choose ace. Why? Well...sexual attraction doesn't make sense to me. Feeling it doesn't make sense to me -- why do I want to add more complications to my life? Also - ace puns March 07, 2021 at 11:41PM

Me ever since middle school but it got so extreme that I ended up transitioning as a guy😂 March 07, 2021 at 11:37PM

/u/sylverbound on My therapist is trying to make me accept myself as a lesbian.

Can you send her an email while you are not in session? Something like: "I'm feeling very uncomfortable about something that came up in our last sessions. When you pushed me about my sexuality, I agreed that I might be lesbian but that wasn't true, I just felt uncomfortable about how you were speaking to me. I'm actually asexual and aromantic [include links and articles here] and have no interest in any relationship with any gender. I would like to move on and discuss other things as this is not an issue that feels important to my therapy session at this time, but I wanted to clarify and ask you to educate yourself on aro ace identities so that you understand better where I'm coming from." Or something like htat? March 07, 2021 at 11:26PM

/u/emilyandco on I’m scared to come out as ace

yes agreed but I can’t understand how people literally break up with their partner for it or make it a big deal. I’ve seen too many stories of people on Reddit saying that their allo partners don’t understand them. that’s sad. March 07, 2021 at 11:21PM

I'm so sorry that this os happening to you, I hope that maybe one day lgbtqia can push its way into society and get normalized. I hope you one day can leave this queerphobic environment. Heck, I would definitely adopt you just to get you out of there (please don't think of it in a weird way). You're seen, loved and you're valid in this community 🖤🤍💜 March 07, 2021 at 11:17PM

/u/Linden_fall on Am I asexual

Your welcome, and remember you can change as much as you want, you don’t have to keep a label forever. Just go with the flow of life, no one chooses their sexuality and sometimes it can change March 07, 2021 at 11:14PM

Sorry to hear that. Your are not wronging anyone. Don't let that ruin your day. In my country, ANYTHING to do with LGBTQIA+ is Punishable by up to (no more or less than) 14 years' imprisonment. Everyone in the LGBTQIA+ Community is anonymous. Even to each other. Pride flags are mistaken for symbols of allegiance to cults. The society is omniphobic. Everything is irrational. When I came out, (to my parents) my parents took it as a joke. They suggested I seek professional help or "practice asexuality" when I have my own house and finances. I can't believe I was raised by aphobes. I can't be legally emancipated from them. They have to consent in order for me to seek emancipation. But if they were the ones seeking, my consent is purposeless. March 07, 2021 at 11:09PM

/u/Linden_fall on Has anyone felt like this?

YES holy shit so much. For me it’s okay if I read it in a book or in comics but when I visually see people actually doing it in movies it disgusts me though. I have no desire to at all in real life March 07, 2021 at 11:07PM
