/u/TheHolyLordGod on Is it common for asexuals not to feel sexual stimulation or is there something just wrong with me?

Honestly I’m the same. I’ve been curious if other people had similar experiences. No idea how common/ok it is tho sorry. April 08, 2021 at 11:54PM

/u/prominentchin on Are there any ACE people here who have had many sexual partners when younger?

Been there. Figured out I was ace at 27, and the realization that I didn't need or want to have sex was liberating. April 08, 2021 at 11:52PM

My boyfriend is the same way. I always push him to do it, it makes him feel better afterward even though he's not in the mood to do it at the beginning. April 08, 2021 at 11:44PM

/u/WasteAdministration2 on Does anyone else find fandom spaces unpleasant?

Fandoms have completely ruined platonic relationships in TV. Like Dean and Castiel from Supernatural, when Cas told Dean he loved him, I thought it meant "as only an angel could", as in profoundly. People took it to mean gay and tbh, the showrunners probably added it in for fanservice, but then people got mad when they didn't get the ending they wanted. I hate how fandoms see good chemistry and think "NOW KISS". They actively disregard all the other nuances and it just gets uncomfortable, like insisting Hannigram (from the show Hannibal) was a sexual relationship. If it is, let it get there naturally, just because 2 people get each other doesn't mean they HAVE to get in each other's pants. When it happens naturally, it's the greatest to actually care about these couples because it adds stakes to their safety and their relationship status, like Jo and Alaric from Vampire Diaries, or Jessica and Gil from Prodigal Son. I couldn't care less about

/u/nbb444 on May or may not look into making an Asexual dating app

I am curious about the user base. How many users can be expected in such an app? I heard one of the failed apps called AceApp had about 50k users. Not much considering the app was available globally. April 08, 2021 at 11:41PM

/u/prominentchin on Being asexual sucks. I don't want to be like this anymore.

This is a destructive way of thinking. Engaging in sex won't fix your insecurities or anxieties. While I certainly encourage people to explore curiosity about sex, your motive is extremely cynical and isn't going to make anything better. If you feel "caged in" now, it's only going to get worse when you get into relationships where you feel pressured to engage in sexual activities. I've been in relationships with both allosexual and asexual people. Trust me, sex or no sex, it doesn't make a relationship more or less valuable. Being asexual isn't what's holding you back, but that self-pitying, negative attitude is. April 08, 2021 at 11:40PM

/u/UnicornStar1988 on My new Asexual ring, have it on now.

Yeah I decided to get the one for guys as it’s thicker and don’t like my rings narrow. April 08, 2021 at 11:37PM
