/u/paradoxicalunicorn83 on What’s the difference between sexual attraction and sex drive/libido?

Libido is your body wanting an orgasm, attraction is your body getting turned on by and wanting that orgasm with a specific person. March 19, 2023 at 01:28AM

SHOULD I CONFESS

Good day, guys! I am (20M) and there is this girl that's been going through my mind lately. I can't even sleep because I overthink about her. We've known each other since (March 2022) and we are close friends and classmates. We used to help each other a lot during the pandemic when we had online classes. She is always there for me back then and we used to joke a lot with each other during that time. I never showed my feelings because I'm scared that I might mess up this great friendship that we have. We open up to each other, we even talk late at night during the quarantine. She also ask me if I like her in a friendly way but I always jokingly shook it off. We met once during the pandemic during a group activity and I can't understand her because she can't look me in the eye. I struggle to understand her because I think she is shy whenever she is with me. But it's a different mood online because she is very talkative with me. Our circle of friends always jo...

Girl I'm seeing keeps ignoring my texts and I'm not sure if it's a valid concern since I have anxious attachment

Hi, I'm 25m and she's 23f and we've gone out twice, nothing physical done. I have a very strong anxious attachment and I overthink everything, and this is something I am well aware of. I started dating her with the intention and goal that I will try my best not to let that come between us and affect my perception of us or the dating stage. At the very start, she used to get back to my text messages once every few hours, and I realized she's not someone who's on her phone all the time, which is perfectly fine. Even her dating app profile mentioned that she either replies in seconds or takes days so I didn't have expectations of fast replies. We moved on from a dating app to Whatsapp for texting and she would reply to my texts every hour or couple of hours. If she replied to my text several hours later, she would also apologize for the late reply. Recently, (after going out twice), I've noticed that her replies are very very delayed. It's to the point t...

/u/AuroraRoman on Why intimacy = sex ?

There are so many ways to refer to the act of sex. The reason for this is that talking about it is a taboo in our society. Taboos have a linguist phenomenon of getting so many words to refer to it. You can’t just say sex so people started to say intercourse which originally meant communication between people not sex. However once that new word is so connected to the taboo it cannot be used as the original meaning and only means the taboo. Once that happens a new word is used to refer to the taboo in a discreet way. This is why there are so many words and phrases that refer to sex. My personal one I hate the most is “making love.” March 18, 2023 at 10:46PM
