My school doesn’t give a shit what we learn honestly, but they still have a reputation to uphold, so they had a speaker from a local teen clinic come in and talk to us abt it. I don’t think I can hack OLD. I’m not super sociable and meeting new people sometimes makes me freak out. I thought OLD was going to work, it seemed distant enough, and gave me a chance to chat before I met them. I hate small talk irl. However, I’ve realised I’m carrying too many issues from my marriage. I’m just not mentally ok enough to cope with rejection- no matter how mild. And I’m not sure there are too many OLD guys ready to take on a 37yr old, newly divorced, single mum of two. I’ve had a bad week and OLD hasn’t helped. Didn’t work as the distraction I needed. I’ll wait for the right time, and the right person, even if it has to be 2021 before that happens.
