my first sex ed teacher was asexual herself, she gave a lesson on it because of that, it wasn't even on the curriculum of different orientations but she was like "guess what I exist too, and a boy in this class is also ace" (everyone knew I was, no matter where I go everyone seems to know I'm ace at a glance, I'm a walking acedar trigger lmao) and was like "they're valid too, they exist, don't try to fix things that ain't broken to begin with" it was awesome
