/u/SaraPieBaron on Unsure about myself and my sexual orientation

Lack of sexual attraction, with almost no idea about it That's all being ace is :) Low perception about attraction directed to him There was a study that showed the humans have a less than 50% chance of accurately determining whether another human is flirting with them - iirc, it was a study on heterosexually oriented folks but I don't have it at hand I'm thinking that I'm sex positive heteroromantic ace, but there are the nagging thoughts in my head, mostly blaming me for not trying hard enough, or worse using asexuality as a hard to penetrate wall to protect my fragile ego so I can say that I'm not interested in relationships before I'm rejected a lot while trying to find one so I can confirm my doubts about myself. If you don't experience sexual attraction, you're ace. You don't seem like you particularly care whether you're in a relationship or not, so I'd think the latter half is unlikely December 06, 2020 at 12:04AM

/u/niky45 on Yeah

you do know that you don't need to have sex to have kids, right? but yeah, mothers do be like that. my mom is totally ace (... I wasn't exactly in her plans), yet she swears having kids is like living a part of life nothing else can compare to -- that you'd be missing something if you didn't. ... one day I went full "well, there's other things people say exactly the same: drugs, sex, alcohol, lots of stuff, really" (... she really is anti-drugs BTW, so I had to explain that it was just an example LOL). ... I'm ace and I don't know if I'll have kids -- I used to think nature would call one day and I'd go "you know what, I want kids" but... as time passes, life seems to not say that XD (... doesn't help that my prerequisite for having kids is having a stable job, and yet half a million years later I'm still trying to finish my degree) December 06, 2020 at 12:00AM

/u/Pseutri on How do I survive sex Ed

This will vary a lot by school, but in mine sex ed was just "don't have sex", consent, some scaremongering about STD's that will likely make them sound much worse and more prevalent than they actually are, and vague mentions of anatomy. I had to figure out what the actual mechanics of the act were from sex scenes in books because the teachers never got even that explicit about it. >.> Anyway, chances are, most of the actual sex stuff they tell you will be stuff you already know, and the rest will be sort of sex-adjacent stuff. It is important to learn some things, like what birth control options there are (even if you don't plan on having sex a lot of people use them for other reasons, like getting rid of or reducing their periods), general information about the bodily nonsense whichever sex you aren't has to deal with, and the like. I agree that talking to the school counselor about it might help. That said, it sounds like this is a full year's g...

Someone asked me what turns me on and when i thought about it I couldn't come up with a single thing. He said that everyone has something then called me a freak ¯_(ツ)_/¯ December 05, 2020 at 11:56PM

/u/niky45 on Sock game is real

... funny because there are quite some people who are into socks. also when I read the title all that came to my mind was the "sock girlfriend" (TW: "sex" -->! i.e. using a sock to jerk off !<) December 05, 2020 at 11:55PM

/u/Lunar_Flower96 on my ace ring broke :( big sad

Now this is why, I rarely were metal, ceramic, or stone rings because they can get broken, scratched, and even can cause an accidents. I would recommend people to get silicone rings because they are more durable and more flexible. My recommendation for a silicone brand, I would say either Groove Life or Enso Ring is where I would get my rings. December 05, 2020 at 11:48PM
