I can only speak for myself, but I would rather say that I am able to have sex with someone, but there is no way for me to be sexually attracted to them. And I view sex as something more than it being physical, and I only experience the physical, which isn't that interesting either. For me having sex with a woman or a man is equally pleasant/unpleasant. I can't know what other people experience and feels, but I would say that a hetero man might not like the idea of having sex with a man, and this is just how I feel about everybody. I actually think that sexual orientation goes beyond preference. You can have preferences within your orientation, but the orientation itself is not a preference. If you hypothetical are homosexual and only among women, you wouldn't suddenly become straight, because your pool of possible sexual candidates got changed. I would also rather say that attraction is either romantic or sexual. You might experience a romantic attraction toward women

Yeah i think a lot of furrys are LGBT+ and thats probably why I like the community so much. They are all so amazing and each one is different making it exiting to interact with them. April 02, 2021 at 11:56PM
Really all it takes is liking anthropomorphic animals! Do most furries have fursonas? Sure! Do you have to have on to be a furry? Nope! Is there a lot of furry nsfw? You bet! Do you have to partake in it? Absolutely not! The furry community is just as diverse as any other fandom out there! April 02, 2021 at 11:49PM
Basically a furry is someone who likes anthropomorphic characters! Theres a fantastic documentary called The Fandom by ash coyote that explains furry extremely well April 02, 2021 at 11:49PM
The problem with saying that "asexuals are far different from heterosexuals" is that some asexuals are willing to have sex with the same gender but not the opposite gender, but don't experience sexual attraction. It's a fact. The asexual spectrum is separate from hetero/pan/homosexual. You can be heterosexual and asexual, because they are separate issues. One is about experiencing sexual attraction and the other is about which gender you prefer for sex. Or is it? It gets complicated in the definition, though. Heterosexual is technically "sexually attracted to the opposite gender". So what would be the term for an asexual who would only have sex with the opposite gender? I have no idea. I’ve had a couple friends come out to me as asexual before I knew I was, too. My girlfriend is asexual! I dunno if I know anyone who might be ace other than those people, but I mean... why not? I’m gonna stick w “maybe”. April 02, 2021 at 11:37PM
I think part of the problem is also that being asexual is that there is no way for you being asexual outside of yourself. You can't in a sense "lead an asexual lifestyle". I was 25 when I realized that I felt something different from other since I was 15, so it is kinda difficult to even acknowledge it yourself. Not sure if asexuality can be encompassed by amatonormativity, but I think that asexual and for instance being heterosexual is different enough that they shouldn't be regarded as the same. As you mention I think the strongest case that asexuals should be viewed as form of queerness is that those with queer romantic attraction would be considered queer. I further think that most of society is revolved around the expectations of being sexual, and or it is sometimes considered a political cause, should be a clear case of why asexuality should be considered a minority within sexual orientation. uh buddy...you're talking to one right now. and I did in fact get called slurs like that in middle and high school -- alongside the usual taunting about how large it was down in the nether regions. this is serious stuff. April 02, 2021 at 11:16PM
