Long story short I'm young and looking for advices! I'm very interested in a colleague of mine who is pretty much obese.. I know what she looks like and it doesn't really bother me.. Stuff I hear around me regarding this topic is making me reconsider my feelings. I'm a bit reluctant to trust my own feelings. Is obesity really such a big issue in dating? For context : she is very much interested as well and I figured out that she had bariatric surgery about less than 6 month ago. Yet majority of people around me are still telling me that I will regret getting into this... Just as the title says! I (M) shared a class with this person (F) a month or so ago so we are not total strangers but by no means friends either. I don't take that class anymore however and now only see them around campus with friends and whatnot. I just find it difficult to approach them at all (both due to situations and also because I'm a complete coward with all this) and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or little inputs to this situation? Nothing says "I'm confident" and "Don't sexualize me" like wearing full plate armor in public lol. Srsly though, I'm sorry allos (esp men) can be so gross and lack boundaries.
