I agreed to go on a sushi belt date where we eat and take a crack at making assumptions about each other’s personalities. Like for example I would assume “You bite people unironically to show affection” and Segway that into a short discussion on how we like to show affection. Do you guys have any ideas for non offensive assumption I can make to lead into more meaningful discussions? I wouldn’t say I’m done with dating just taking a “break”. I’ve gone on a few nice dates with a girl and nothing came of it. Have gone out to clubs with girls and I’ve probably had more fun doing that. It can be fun and cute but it’s honestly a waste of money and time. I’m 22 and had 2 gfs, 1 which lasted almost 2 years who I loved loved dearly. I’m at a point in my life where I have to figure out my future and find who I want to be, as corny as that sounds it’s more important. I just started thinking of deleting dating apps but I won’t since I have no ability to come up to a girl irl and make convo just yet. I’ll probably use apps to just make friends and have plans for a weekend when I’m free. I’m going to start gym again so that’s exciting also. We are both in our mid 20’s and both are very shy. She has given me a Japanese mug, two hand knitted characters from anime we both like, and one of her favorite books to read. I told her I would like to pay her for the gifts but she insisted that it was okay and refused any payment. I told her that maybe I could make her something in return( I am a Apprentice Sculptor).
