/u/bleepblorpbloopbleep on How do you tell if you're romantically attracted to people?

Exactly! The way I feel about my best friend and the way I feel about my spouse are very different. I enjoy spending time with my friend but I don’t feel the need to be with her all the time. I can’t imagine not seeing or sharing something with my spouse every day. September 18, 2020 at 12:00AM

/u/bleepblorpbloopbleep on How do you tell if you're romantically attracted to people?

I’ve been listening to the podcast A-OK (thanks to a suggestion from someone else in this sub!) and one of the guests was talking about how they differentiate between romantic and platonic attraction. They said with a friend they just want to spend some time with them but then go off their separate ways. With a crush/romantic partner, they never wanted to be apart from them. That definition made the most sense to me so hopefully it will help you! September 17, 2020 at 11:58PM

/u/HavePlushieWillTalk on Which characters from TV/Films are Ace to you?

I think Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas . It's something I thought about lately. He's not into Sally. Sally is into him. He likes Sally. Sally treats him kindly whereas everyone else fawns over him; they want his attention, and she just wants him to be... what? Safe and well? Like when she goes and brings him dinner, she doesn't stick around, she knows he is obsessed and probably isn't eating well, but she doesn't butt in. Sally is romantically interested in Jack. Jack is not romantically interested in Sally. When everything falls apart, he realises that Sally was the one who spoke to him rationally and warned him BEFORE everything hit the fan, then, when he goes to fix his mistakes, he finds Sally has already tried to fix them, and yet she doesn't want to use this to pressure him to pay attention to her after everything is all well again (except for Oogie), she lets everyone else fawn over him. Jack finds her after and says; "~My dearest friend, If

/u/HazyshadeofFall on Was anyone confused as a teenager?

One of my friends had 0 sex ed and was always told growing up that she wasn't allowed to kiss anyone until her wedding. At the age of 20 she still believed people got pregnant through kissing and one of our other friends had to give her "the talk." Edit: spelling September 17, 2020 at 11:56PM

/u/fem_enby_cis_tho on What do you all think of this article?

Is it really that hard for people to understand? Or can some people not believe that there is a person out there that doesn’t want to be fucked of get fucked by them❓I don’t understand what’s so hard to grasp. September 17, 2020 at 11:50PM

/u/PixelDash85 on What‘s appealing about this scenario? It‘s rude towards other passengers... Why is this such a popular fantasy?

I'm confused by humans in general. September 17, 2020 at 11:49PM

For starters there's only one bathroom so GTFO if your not using it as intended. I also don't want to sit on your mess and catch whatever disease you have. Air travel already sucks, why are you trying to make it worse. That about summarizes my feelings on the matter. Edit: it's appealing because it's taboo and involves sex. Perfect combination for rebellious teenagers hoped up on hormones. September 17, 2020 at 11:49PM

I can’t understand having sex in a dirty, cramped airplane bathroom. I try not to go to the bathroom on a flight if I can help it. September 17, 2020 at 11:47PM

John Wick. And ik they're not from movies or tv but Captain Price from COD Modern Warfare and Gaunter O'Dimm from The Witcher 3. September 17, 2020 at 11:45PM

Confused as a teenager...confused as a young adult...still confused at 36. September 17, 2020 at 11:43PM

/u/Jackvader2020 on Is it important to get our hormone levels checked?

For me it is, but that's because I'm on mtf hrt. I'm guessing this is in reference to people claiming low hormones causes asexuality? But I'm pretty sure it only affects libido, not sexual attraction. September 17, 2020 at 11:42PM

/u/BabyBandit616 on Which characters from TV/Films are Ace to you?

You’re right, I said that because the creator did. September 17, 2020 at 11:42PM

/u/LexWilso on What do you all think of this article?

I can neither discredit or credit but my own opinion would be that there is probably some truth from the data of the survey. In the past, people were against gays because they didn't understand. What with pride events etc and gay people being more publicly acknowledged, people's opinion have changed for the better, and at the base of it all is sex which most people can relate to. Asexuality is a foreign concept to most and the lack of understanding and relatability triggers prejudice unfortunately Though to not rent a house to someone who is asexual is a bit much September 17, 2020 at 11:41PM

Really? You can be both of those things. You can have everything in a relationship, you just don’t want the sexual part. Romantic interest is still a thing. September 17, 2020 at 11:39PM

Wait a second, I just saw a post saying you can't be straight and asexual, but you can be lesbian and asexual? What am I missing here? September 17, 2020 at 11:38PM
