I can neither discredit or credit but my own opinion would be that there is probably some truth from the data of the survey.

In the past, people were against gays because they didn't understand. What with pride events etc and gay people being more publicly acknowledged, people's opinion have changed for the better, and at the base of it all is sex which most people can relate to.

Asexuality is a foreign concept to most and the lack of understanding and relatability triggers prejudice unfortunately

Though to not rent a house to someone who is asexual is a bit much
