Maybe take some time apart, completely no contact, for 6 months. Don't feel guilty. Try to see what life could be on your own. Maybe you'll miss him and want a life that he can offer. Maybe you learn that you need more in your life, something that he can't give you. Neither is right or wrong, just different. You need to learn more about yourself, your wants and needs. You need to know what you'd be giving up before you make a decision for the rest of your life. You've got a big and hard decision to make. Make it now before there's too much invested. I (17m) have never been on a date so far in my life, but got talking with this guy (18m) and he’s asked me out for coffee on Wednesday. I think he’s funny, good looking & generally a good potential boyfriend. My problem comes here: I’m an absolute beginner in dating and don’t know how to ensure my safety meeting a guy for a date, how I should dress for coffee (I’m probably overthinking that bit) & pretty much everything. All my friends are in relationships and there are a few girls in this group who I like. Apparently one of them also liked me for a bit but gave up and now she is dating someone else.
