/u/Reimu64 on What's a niche / unpopular interest that you have?

Well, here's a quick video you can watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8jX2DpHA5E He pretty much breaks it down to the basics :) July 22, 2021 at 11:59PM

/u/Top-Replacement-8936 on What confused you until you remembered sexual attraction's a thing?

There was a news a few days ago, that special beds were made for the athletes of the Olympic games. The beds are small (only for one person) and they break if there are more people on them or if there is any activity (like sex). The point is to prevent athletes from making sex so they keep social distance (because of covid). I don't really know if it a fake news or real. July 22, 2021 at 11:56PM

/u/CluelessCapybara2421 on Forced Romance Subplots

I agree. When Loki and Sylvie kissed I kind of cringed (that’s not the correct word), I was really hoping it would be a platonic relationship. Something I really liked about Community was that romantic relationships were not the focus of the show. I’ll admit I was interested in the initial Brittany and Jeff relationship but their romantic relationship fizzled out and they remained friends. It’s just so unnecessary. Why can’t platonic relationships be more mainstream? The same thing with people wanting Mobius and Loki to be a thing. Why can’t two men be good friends?? July 22, 2021 at 11:53PM

/u/TicTicTicEm on Came out to some people at work today, feeling happy and nervous!

Yay! I'm so happy for you! I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to come out, and people were accepting. It's the greatest feeling. Funnily enough, it always seems people irl are more accepting at times. (Probably because the people online are the loud minority.) July 22, 2021 at 11:34PM

/u/Monk715 on Asexuality or denial?

This is actually very useful, thanks! I found a lot of the faq relatable. In the question about the doubt if you are not repressing, I can really say that I'm not repressing urges (or at least I don't realize that I have them, I guess) but I'm just trying to figure out what I would do if, say, other people would be openly interested in me... And also if I had sex if society suddenly agreed that it's optional and you don't have to have it if you don't like to. I don't know about the first question really, but the second one, I can clearly say that I would feel so much relief that I don't have to fake interest anymore. July 22, 2021 at 11:32PM

/u/Top-Replacement-8936 on What confused you until you remembered sexual attraction's a thing?

Well, I don't understand cheating, but I don't understand jealous as well. So for me it is a double mistery. I mean, I understand that cheating is bad because it is a broken promise, but why this promise even existed? I thought that it is just a social rule, but then I figured out that people feel jealous, and that confused me. July 22, 2021 at 11:31PM

Thank you. I’m having one of those big picture moments. Lots of memories and memories of feeling bad and good coming back. A straight up epiphany of you will. July 22, 2021 at 11:27PM

...do you know what sarcasm is? this black and white thinking of either people have rights don't, either people explicitly are being oppressed or not, hermeneutically excludes the way actual prejudice and discrimination affects everyday lives, like the concrete examples I listed that you keep ignoring and minimizing, like medical negligence, conversion therapy, work and housing precarity, and gatekeeping support resources. As in, I am critiquing the fact that these types of incidents aren't considered serious enough problems to people who parrot the same rhetoric you do. You've also stated that you have options as far as employment is concerned, so you don't have to stay there if you don't like it. this is how you interpret what I wrote? I find it astonishing that any '85-'95ers can claim to be a recession millennial being this tone deaf to socioeconomic context and modern day precariat culture. You can either put your energy into doing someth

I was hanging out with my friend the other day and the topic of liking people came up so I said the only thing I simp for is good animation. And he looked at me and said that's such an ace thing of you to say July 22, 2021 at 11:20PM

/u/potatthrowaway on Being ace doesn't mean...

Personally, I think there are as many varieties of ace as there are ace people. Every individual is a little different. Myself, I'm just an oddball who is perfectly happy flying solo indefinitely and always having my cave of solitude (home) to retreat to when I need it. July 22, 2021 at 11:20PM

They need a new middle finger emoji with an ace ring, I think. It'd be perfect July 22, 2021 at 11:17PM
