/u/milkjjugs on Just came out to my mother and got the 3rd worst expected reaction.

I remember when I came out to my mom, she just brushed it off, but I kept going on about it. I just wanted her to understand. But she told me that the reason why I "feel" asexual is because I haven't experienced anything. It sucks but I didn't keep pushing it onto her. I just accepted it and left it like that. We haven't spoken about it ever since. It sucks but at least it wasn't the worst reaction I have received. May 05, 2023 at 12:47AM

Tips for finding people who aren’t overtly sexual within the first 3 messages?

I know old is always give and take in terms of the wide variety of people you’re able to match with. I’m totally okay with people who are into casual relationships. Me personally, I’ve been single a few years and enjoy being single, but am looking to find another person. No rush there I’m just trying to jump back into the dating pool. Do you guys have any tips for weeding out profiles that tend to be overly sexual? I match with a wide variety of guys, don’t have a sexual profile and even have “not currently looking for hookups” in my profile. It seems like no matter the profile type, persons physical looks, or my personal profile edits can weed out guys who say brutally disgusting things. I get it. I really do. Some guys when I say “that’s not what I’m looking for but I wish you the best in finding someone who is” say thank you. Other guys PUSH to the point where it gets uncomfortable. This is a long winded way of asking for tips for my own profile and what to look for to try and

Approaching a girl i find interesting on the street.

First things first, english isn't my first language, so If a make any mistakes please point them so i can learn It better in the meantime! Well, i'm quite inexperiencied with talking to girls (or people in general) and this last week i saw a girl that peaked my interest, not in a "appearence" type of interest, i just got curious and asked her what she was listening to and what was her favorite type of music, then i took off cause i was gonna be late for my class at college. Two days later i saw her again, waved at her and smiled and she did it back reconizing me, then noticed a tattoo in her arm and asked about it, we had a little chat about it and got formally introduced to eachother, but nothing to deep, just exchanging our names. She seemed pretty chill with my approach i think (in both cases), then i said my goodbyes adding a "see ya next time"at the end cause we take the same bus to the terminal next to my college, don't know where she's goin

Creepy or crush OFFICE ROMANCE

My friend needs some help coming to reality. This guy we work with seems to be obsessed with her but she swears its ok because “he’s nice and just comfortable around her”. So we need some outside opinions. Scenario: 1: When she goes out with her friends he always ask where she’s going and he googles where she’s going. 2: The job split us up into 2 groups; one group was stationed in Brooklyn and the other group was stationed in Manhattan. He was in the manhattan group and she was in the Brooklyn group. He wrote her almost every day begging her to come to manhattan and work there. He eventually wrote our district manager to get her moved to the manhattan office. 3: when they worked in the same office office he would play footsies with her 4: Now that he has her in the new office with him he goes into her office lays on her purse as he watches her work. Demands her to tell him when she comes in so he knows she’s there, and the list goes on. Mind you she’s married and he knows it. I

/u/yourenotmymom_yet on Sex scenes that WERE nessccary to the media?

I can only ever think of two of these when this question pops up: The sex scene between the married couple in the Black Mirror episode “The Entire History of You” - it’s haunting af and said so much about how scary the featured tech was much more effectively than describing it or implying it could have. The flashback sex scene in the car with Kerry Washington’s character in Little Fires Everywhere - it was meant to be jarring and told viewers more about her character in 10 seconds than any dialogue could have. I honestly don’t think I’ve actually seen others that couldn’t easily have been replaced by dialogue or the implication the sex was had. May 04, 2023 at 10:50PM
