Why do I become so mean in relationships?

I’m actually a really nice person. I hate fighting with anyone and I genuinely feel guilty if I say or do anything that would hurt a friend’s feelings. Relationships, I’ve noticed however bring out a dark, pushy side of me. I’ve just entered something relatively new with someone and I’m already starting to notice the more comfortable I get the meaner I become. I’m trying to take steps back so I can stop this behavior from coming out. I’m just not sure what this stems from... Submitted November 22, 2019 at 12:08AM I’m actually a really nice person. What is going on here?

I'm not sure where to start with this, so please bear with me. I [23M] have been interested in a girl [21F] whom I work with for a while now, and I also believe that she has been interested in me for a while as well. I don't want to force any of you to have to go back and read my previous posts on here, so I will attempt to summarize them as best I can so you understand the basics of the situation. She and I met over mid-summer when we began working as lifeguards at a local pool near our university. Pretty much from the first day we met, I liked her and I felt that she was interested in me as well; however, I was hesitant to make a move until several months later when our semester started up. When I initially asked her out for some coffee later that week, she initially said yes and seemed happy that I asked her out; however, when I later asked her what day, she said she "didn't want to give me the wrong idea." I was visibly taken aback, and I am pretty sure she

What’s the best Christmas present for the girl I’m talking to?

We’ve been friends for quite a while now. I want to give her a present that will make me stand out from a guy who’s friend zoned to someone she could date. How do I break the cycle of a dysfunctional mindset w/girls?

I’m a hot guy. People have always complimented my looks and told me I have nice hair/a nice smile/butt/legs. Loads of girls have expressed interest in me, or at least seemed to. And yet here I am, a 26 year old virgin. Most of the time I don’t even think about it, until I meet a girl I end up crushing on (which is rare, I’ve had less than a dozen crushes). And then she either has a boyfriend or rejects me in spite of seeming interested. Then I’m just hung up on her until fuck knows when. So that scenario ends, and then I’m not interested enough in pursuing anyone until I meet the next crush, and the cycle goes on. I don’t get it. Every other aspect of my life is going well and I have a lot of great hobbies I’m excelling at. But no relationships, no girls to share my life with. How can I change? Best Dating App/Service For Someone Like me?

I'm 32(m) and have a 4 year old, who I coparent 50/50. I've only used Tinder in the past (nothing ever went anywhere.) Also, I recently hopped on the new fb dating thing.. From a smallish college town, so the pool is somewhat limited. Need help peeps! I'm okay spending a little money for any service that would be promising! /u/picklefluffer on How do you guys find other asexual people for relationships? I'm sure I'm going to be alone forever.

I met someone from my university and we texted back and forth for a bit and it was nice (as friends only) but we both were super busy and kinda stopped talking to each other November 22, 2019 at 12:10AM

/u/Head_Lynx on Do you find men or women prettier?

Female, heteroromantic. Personally, I find men to be prettier and more aesthetically pleasing. It depends on what type though. I'm hugely into feminine men so a guy who looks or behaves effeminately will immediately catch my eye. On the other hand, well-dressed and intelligent men get to me (sucker for British accents. these also tend to overlap with effeminate men a lot as well and I'm over the moon in those instances). I'm more partial to lean and skinny men to top it all off. I just can't get into men with too many muscles and too much of a "boyish" face if that makes sense. I don't get the appeal there. So to answer your question, I find men prettier but I'm very specific about it. :) (Hope that explanation wasn't too long. XD) November 22, 2019 at 12:09AM

/u/Chester_Mass on AsexualBuds: Or, Why Can't Romantic Asexuals Indulge Themselves Too?

I'm more of knives and blood and being in control kind of gal. ....If this idea ever gets off the ground, I think I'd keep you in mind.... the moment it becomes more sexual than sensual and romantic...it's like anti-excitement to me. Too grossed out to indulge in it. My thoughts exactly. I just want to indulge what semblance of a libido I have, appreciate the aesthetic beauty of someone I'm attracted to but the absolute, pin-pointable second it leans too sexual I get incredibly deflated, irritated, disgusted and so many other words ending with -ed. I totally get what you mean. Glad some people do. I need a subreddit like the one I imagine, it's nice to know at least a few other people do too. November 22, 2019 at 12:02AM

Yeah I agree. There's only one ace character representation I can think of from the top of my head; Todd from Bojack Horseman. I love that show and Todd is my favourite character! I think he represents asexuality quite well. I'd love to see it more in mainstream media though. I actually didn't know it existed until friends started calling me asexual as a joke because I was the only one who wasn't interested in masturbating or porn. Nice way to get introduced to a sexuality... Not. I hope there'll be better ace representation around for the aces from the future generations. November 21, 2019 at 11:59PM

This would be ideal, but I don't like chocolate. Maybe walnut instead. But I don't have time for that level of baking, so maybe I'll custom order it from a local bake shop. November 21, 2019 at 11:59PM

I would just like to point out that not all asexual relationships have to be between two aces. It’s typically a lot easier but my girlfriend is bisexual and completely respects and allows for my needs. It really depends on the person though. November 21, 2019 at 11:59PM

I'm more of knives and blood and being in control kind of gal. I'd much prefer to be aesthetically/romantically attracted to the hypothetic person in question otherwise I'd be uncomfortable. But yeah, the moment it becomes more sexual than sensual and romantic...it's like anti-excitement to me. Too grossed out to indulge in it. Like the moment it's starting to even suggest the start of something sexual I'm like: "Aight, Imma head out." I totally get what you mean. November 21, 2019 at 11:55PM

Update 2 on ' Wife wants a diamond ring'

Part I https://www.reddit.com/r/Marriage/comments/dxtxj3/wife_wants_a_diamond_ring/ Part II https://www.reddit.com/r/Marriage/comments/dyodoi/follow_up_to_wife_wants_a_diamond_ring/ 2 days of silence later she asked why I am acting depressed. I said it was because she was being hard on me while I was saying it was a financial decision. That's when the screaming started and that she could leave anytime. That if she was working she would have bought it. How when her father was making big money he surprised her with diamond earrings one birthday. And how I would never do that. I interjected that I had in fact got her diamond earrings a few years back (not as big). She replied, that yes, but that was just one time. After more venting where I told her she was acting childish and throwing a tantrum, she said that she is getting the ring anyway. I know when I am beaten, so I agreed to place the order. As I placed the order button, she said she really wants me to feel I am doing th

Im tired of my wife always putting the children first and want a divorce

My wife and I have been married for seven years and have two children, 5 and 6. I’m tired of my wife always putting the kids interests before mine. Its always clear who her priority is, and isn’t. She’s a good mom - but I deserve a partner who wants me. Period. I’ve been looking at divorce lawyers, and I’m trying to find one that will get me full custody of the kids. Does anyone have any advice on how to set this up, or what to argue? She doesn’t use drugs or have anything that can be used against her...where do I start? Is being jealous of single people a real thing?

A lot of single people wish they could be with someone. It's usually stigmatized as a bad thing but I've also heard the opposite to be true where married couples wish they could be single. I guess it works both ways and the grass is always greener. Submitted November 22, 2019 at 12:05AM A lot of single people wish they could be with someone.
