/u/steamed3gg on Does anyone else have a habit of double-checking to make sure you aren’t wearing any asexual pride gear when you pick up medication from the pharmacy?

That’s very specific but no I don’t wear anything of pride only because I don’t own any and I’m not allowed to May 22, 2021 at 12:01AM

/u/LunaZeta on Could I get some ressources on asexuality and the ace spectrum for school?

Here’s something from Duke: https://studentaffairs.duke.edu/csgd/information/Ace-Resources Also AVEN (they go more in depth): https://www.asexuality.org/?q=overview.html May 21, 2021 at 11:59PM

/u/ThatRandomChick6 on You know how trans ppl feel when they get called by their dead gender/name? That’s how I feel when someone, not knowing I’m ace, says stuff about how I’ll have kids one day or some shit like that.

I'm both ace and trans and this is a really accurate analogy. May 21, 2021 at 11:56PM

Ikr it's very odd. I'm glad it's not just me who thinks so May 21, 2021 at 11:56PM

Weird...It should be a given that in general listening to other people have sex is kind of awkward. May 21, 2021 at 11:52PM

That's true. Everyone treats it as being kind of a joke but I don't think they get how anxiety inducing it is for me May 21, 2021 at 11:51PM

/u/PistachioPug on Hmm, why are some textbooks still outdated?

Sex is not a need , for anyone. It's necessary for the species, but not for the individual. It's a strong drive, yes, but no one ever died or suffered anything beyond brief temporary discomfort from not having sex. May 21, 2021 at 11:50PM

I really don't get it either! I've mentioned to her before several times she's very loud but she doesn't seem to care. I'm happy your moving out, I'm sure your new place will be so lovely and peaceful. May 21, 2021 at 11:49PM

Of course they have the right to be physically intimate, but they should also have the courtesy to try and keep the noise down if they know you're in the house too. May 21, 2021 at 11:44PM

It's just a label that you choose for yourself pick the one that feels best for you, you can change it later if you want. May 21, 2021 at 11:41PM

/u/Arouracoin on I'm not the only one who sees a correlation, right?

I believe so? But it's any amount, so not even decaf would be okay because it's had most but not all of the caffeine removed May 21, 2021 at 11:39PM

somewhat similar experience: my flatmate has his gf over every week for 2 days, mostly on weekends, but not always. Mostly, I try not to be at home during those times but the few times I was, it was so loud that I could hear it through my headphones while playing on my console. I absolutely don't get how it doesn't make people super uncomfortable knowing someone is literally 5 meters away in the next room. At least I'm moving soon, to an apartment where I'll be alone and (hopefully) safe from unwanted and annoying side-sound-effects. Believe me, I relate to your feelings of anxiousness. /u/BWTele on What's the opposite of demiromantic?

Glad I could help! I kind of understand what you're feeling. Personally, I have never and could never form a romantic or sexual relationship with a friend. It's just. No. And while I've never felt sexual attraction, I find that having a physical relationship with a stranger is tolerable. May 21, 2021 at 11:36PM

he developed the model known as Maslow's pyramid of needs, but it has been criticized and has underwent changes over the decades (as far as I know) May 21, 2021 at 11:29PM

/u/MysteriousValue1 on Im not a ring wearer, so I bought this hat late one night. Do you think its a little on the nose? I realize now its kinda like saying "Look how ACE I am!"

People around me are so oblivious I think I could get away with wearing that and people still not realizing I'm ace. May 21, 2021 at 11:25PM

/u/AcePilot95 on I crocheted a little ace-pride-birdie for a friend of mine who has her birthday on sunday. Came out a little derpy, but my cat approves 😅🐱
