/u/zenithsabyss on Comfort characters anyone?

Yes, he's a normal gentleman of the Victorian era, so although he expresses huge disdain for anyone who hurts a woman (see him calling the Midwest Murderer in the Hound of the Baskervilles a brute for beating his wife) he also regards the gender as relatively weaker, and less reliable. This is why when Irene outsmarted him, she became "the woman" to him because he respected her as much as a man. June 04, 2022 at 12:37AM

How to deal with terrible timing?

So I’ve (21M) been texting this girl for a couple hours a day for the last couple days. I want to ask her out. Here’s the issue. For the summer we are on opposite coasts. We go to the same college so things would be fine by the fall. We have not gone out in the past so this would be a first date. But should I just ask her on a date on ‘layaway’? Or is it better to just keep building the relationship/friendship and not say anything about my feelings until it’s closer to us being able to see each other? Help shifting perspective on first date

If I don’t get a sense that a guy is interested in getting to know me and we vibe by text/calls first, I go into the first date with no excitement and I’d probably give off a very platonic or networking vibe. How do you pump yourself up for a date when you haven’t had much convo with the person (so feel no vibe yet) and its just another coffee or walk date? I have a boyfriend but I find myself more increasingly attracted to women

The title says it all. I guess I’m a bit stuck on what to do with this newfound curiousity. I’m a female 29 and I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and he’s amazing. He treats me like a queen, and I’m super happy in my relationship. But over the past few months I’ve been finding myself looking at women in public and finding myself being sexually attracted to them. There’s a woman at my work who is clearly lesbian she’s very masculine and outspoken about her dating life and I think I have a crush on her. I’ve never acted on this urge and im not even sure I want to. It’s pretty clear im at least bi curious, and I’ve finally come to terms with that today as I was sitting at a coffee shop and noticed another woman who i literally could not stop staring at. I don’t want to end things with my boyfriend, but I also can’t stop thinking about what it would be like to be with a woman. I don’t know what to do and I guess my question is..should I tell my boyfriend or should I keep thi...

Why match, have a convo, then unmatch?

I matched with a girl. We had a small convo in which she replied three times before then I asked "what made you go into [career]" and she just unmatched. Why? How do I answer?

I found myself in an unusual (well, at least for me) situation, I (17 y.o.) asked a girl (also 17) out (in person, not through text) and she agreed to go out next week, but today I texted her asking if she was free on the next monday and she asked me why I wanted to go out with her to begin with. I think it's worth mentioning that I kinda like her and wanted to get to know her a little more. What would be the best response?
