When he gives you what you want and you hate it. (Boring married problems)

Texted my husband about a killer deal on furniture. He humored me and replied back with followup questions and concerns. I knew that as much as he liked it, he was also gently letting me come to the conclusion that it wasn’t going to happen. Except, later that night he said (after I brought it up again) “if you want the furniture, let’s go get it.”. I was so excited we drove straight there. He tried them out and gave me the green light. So, we bought them.

Now it’s just passed midnight and I’m sitting in our newly furnished room and I HATE IT!

He hasn’t seen it all put together yet b/c we were exhausted by the time we unloaded it all. But, I’m sure he’s going to agree that it’s not flowing with the rest of the house.

So here’s my conundrum....I’m supposed to leave for a girls weekend early this morning (in six short hours)! It’s a three day return policy and I won’t be back until late Sunday. I’m of the opinion that I need to bow out of the girls trip, I would only be out a couple hundred dollars vs over a thousand dollars.

As frustrating as this is, I think that’s the right move. I will handle everything because I inflicted this nonsense upon us.
