Need reassurance

Hi all. I know the answer to this. I need your reassurance however. When my husband is mad, and only when he’s “mad”, he calls me horrendous names in front of our two small children (2yo and 8 months). B*, lunatic, stupid b, and worst of all C**. Many, many more as well. He Literally says these things right in front of them. He never apologizes, just acts like it never happened after he’s cooled down the next day or so. We’ve been to two marriage counseling sessions with more in the books. I DO NOT want our children thinking it’s ok to speak to women this way, and I KNOW it’s not ok to speak to women (me) this way. I’m an educated/employed woman with a great family background, a good head on my shoulders and am a damn good momma. Why the hell cant I leave? If you would have told me 5 years ago (pre-marriage/kids) that I would let me husband speak to me like that I’d tell you to go fly a kite. I’m smart but I don’t know why I let this keep happening. Help or advice appreciated.
