I (30m) am really hesitant to ask out a girl (21f) from my classes that I like due to the age difference.

I got divorced at 26 and haven't really dated anyone besides a long string of one night stands and tinder hookups over the past few yearsthat were never very fufilling. I met this girl in my microbiology class a few semesters ago. She is really quiet and shy, but really cute. Like, I am not even an unconfident guy when it comes to talking to girls, and I wouldn't say she's everyone's type, but I had a hard time ever saying anything to her due to nerves.

I added her on Facebook and saw she seems like a pretty introverted person, which is okay because I am too. We messaged back and forth for a while and I asked her out to coffee and she said yes. Well, I went through a lot of personal stuff in life and I let it fall through, and haven't really talked to her in a while.

We recently started messaging each other, we are in the same field, but she's a year behind. I want to try and see if she's still interested, but I think about how much I had to learn about dating and relationships in my 20's and I feel like as attractive as a find her, there'd be a mismatch in maturity levels. I don't have kids or a house, I'm still working on my career, so it's not like we are in different life stages. We have a lot of the same interests in video games and whatnot, I just feel conflicted. Any thoughts?
