He called me a waste of time but wants to date me

I met this guy online, who I genuinely wanted to meet. I canceled a date with him before a big trip, because despite really wanting to make it all work, I couldn’t and had to prioritize work over an Internet guy. He didn’t like this, messaged me “waste of time”, and I blocked him. I thought that was the end of it, but he was been incessantly trying to match with me on Hinge (like three times I don’t even know how) so I finally relented to be like “what the fuck”. He says he’s sorry, he was frustrated with online dating in the moment, and is now over me canceling and wants to meet. However, I found it so hurtful to be called a waste of time. I would never say that to anyone. It feels disrespectful and like a massive red flag. He’s looking for something casual I think. Should I give him another chance? Right now my blood boils thinking about it, but then again, I am still single, I’m kind of thirsty and he seems pretty good looking. Before this all went down he was nice and the chemistry was good.

Edit: you are all right, for some reason I needed a push to just tell this person we’re not a good match. Which is what I did.
