Need help from men: told him how I felt over text and haven’t heard from him in over 3 hours. (Girls can help too)

Hey so I’ve been casually seeing a guy and grew feelings. We were talking all day today snd we would text each other back immediately or 30min-1hour. I def came out of left field saying I liked him and wanted to build something potentially. I haven’t heard from him since.

We were previously talking about sekiro and then I randomly said how I felt. Previous to this, we were casually having sex and I told him he could see others too since I was seeing other guys but I wasn’t sleeping with others and he apparently wasn’t with girls either. We spend about every weekend together and have been seeing each other for over a month.

My guy friends were like yo you should have built up to it but I’m a girl and I just went for it and just told him that I couldn’t do casual dating and that I’d like to clear the slate and date one on one cuz I like him- I didn’t ask for him to be my bf... my girlfriends are saying to just forget about him and that he’s a fuckboi. I’m trying my best to let this go and assume he ghosted me since he hasn’t said anything since but I’m still holding onto this hope that maybe he doesn’t know how to respond but I would have thought he would have responded soon after I sent it but I don’t know how guys work. How long might it take for a guy to text back about this? If he doesn’t text back in a day or so should I just drop it? Should I have already dropped it since I doubt he’ll text me back today? My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
