Every Single Time I Approach a Guy, He Pretends To Want Something Serious Then Uses Me

I'm thinking about the last 10 or so men I approached in person. I didn't come on strong, did the whole friends first thing, then later expressed my interest. Said I was looking for something serious. They reciprocated, but in the end, they weren't looking for something exclusive as they either never committed or pretended to but still saw other women.

Why do people tell me to approach guys? When you're hot, all they do is fake things to hookup. And tell you they want something serious when they don't. So you think you guys have something serious, they use you, hookup, and months later you realize no you were never exclusive even if they said so and he was still seeing other women.

How can I avoid this?? I am newly 30 (this happened in 20s also), and date older. I offer a lot.
