I met a girl on bumble, it went horribly wrong. I want to tell her I’m not gonna be seeing her again but, idk how to.

So today, I met a girl that I’ve chatted up for a little while on bumble. Don’t get me wrong, she’s nice and very pretty, but meeting her for the first time was a complete fucking nightmare.

So, to start off we tried to keep the meeting together as held off as possible, so we agreed to meet each other at a Texas Roadhouse. I told her to choose, and I’ll pay. She didn’t want to so I did for her. Steak > Whatever other options there are. We arranged to meet at 12:30, I showed up 10 minutes early... she showed up 15 minutes late. BAAAD start. I can do a few minutes, but anything past 10 minutes is grounds for jumping ship. I honestly thought she wasn’t coming. But she was there, I wasn’t going to ruin her mood by complaining about how late she was, because it didn’t matter now that she was there.

So we go inside and get a seat immediately because to my surprise, Texas roadhouses aren’t packed at 12:45. Our waitress comes around and greets us, but the girl I was with interrupted her in the middle of greeting us and demanded her drink with a “give me a coconut rum and tonic” and for the rolls to come with regular butter because “that sweet butter is garbage”. My stomach dropped to the floor because THAT was so out of line and rude. The waitress looked at me and asked what I’d like, responded with “just a glass of water for me hun, extra lemon if you can.”

She comes back with the drinks and the girl I was with immediately started rattling off her order to her before she even sat the drinks down, taking it upon herself to ask “are you gonna write it down?” In a such a condescending tone. Now I’m starting to think to myself that if she says another rude thing I’m gonna say something to her about this, because I used to wait tables, I know how this makes you feel and this poor waitress doesn’t deserve it. She takes our orders and then time passes. We shoot the shit, talk, flirt, etc. it was very hard to actually dig deep into her and get to know her because of how her true colors are showing, but I ran past it and didn’t let it bother me.

Our waitress comes back with the food, I’m fuckin hungry, I’m grateful as hell and she hands me my plate first. I tell her “thank you so much”, she hands the plate to the girl I’m with and she doesn’t say a fucking thing. No “thank you” or anything. Then we ate and talked some more. But the girl I was with decided to run her around for every single thing. “More napkins.”, “I need a refill”, “Can we have more buns?” I looked at her and said “let’s give her a break, huh?” My date looked at me and said “it’s her job, just give her a fat tip.”

WOW. What the fuck just came out of this chicks mouth? I just scoffed and continued eating. We finish up. Waitress didn’t get any more problems from her for the rest of the night. The bill came to roughly $100 and some change. I left our waitress $70 in cash. She deserved it for putting up with that hot dumpster fire and she was also a fantastic server. I told my date to just meet me outside because I’m gonna use the restroom, in which I didn’t. I went and found the server, handed her the $70 cash and apologized and told her my situation - that I met her online, this was the first time meeting and I had NO CLUE she was gonna act this way. I woulda thought this waitress was gonna cry because of how bad she was stressed out and the clarity I gave her afterwards.

I walked back out to my car and she was standing there smoking a cigarette. I told her i hope she had a good time, hugged her and left. She gave me a text later on tonight about how she’d like to get together sometime again but Idk how to break it to her that her behavior was incredibly childish and I can’t see anyone that treats other people that way.
