Looked like old crush had changed her mind but strange things happened...

A couple of months ago I fell in love with this really sweet girl I read the same course with. She was really nice, we had much in common and got along on basically every point you can think of. Unfortunately, this was the first time I dated a girl, I made some terrible mistakes, and she moved on after the first date. She said she wanted to be my friend but no more.

2,5 months later, I sensed some different behaviour from not her, but her friends in my college class (my old crush reads a different program). They started to behave really nice to me, like they were saying "she has changed her mind". I thought that I was stupidly fantasizing and didn't think very much about it. But my gut feeling was right. A couple of days ago (3 months after she said no) we met at a party and the first thing she did was to give me a two-armed hug and the biggest smile she could give. I was thinking "what the hell", I was completely sure that she was gonna ghost me. She ended the conversation by saying "I am gonna head to the bar". Stupid as I was, I didn't follow her to pay the drink for her. I was not completely sure if she had changed her mind but obviously she had. 10 minutes later, a guy in my class came up to me and said; there is someone special that wants to talk with you. I finally understood and went for the shot as we were going to an afterparty at someone's appartment. I tried her a couple of times and it looked like she was with it. We had a pretty good time together, until I said something I probably shouldn't have said. We played cards and I asked if she had played a card game named hearthy (I don't know the name in English but this is the best translation I can give). Her happy attitude disappeared like she had just witnessed a dangerous animal in the forest. 5 minutes later she moved seats and another 5 minutes later, she went home. I immediately felt that I just fucked it up, and my feelings were right again.

2 days later I asked if she wanted to watch a famous fire event in the town. She said yes we could. We met, and she was quite cold to me, not completely, we talked a little bit. But I could see in her eyes that she didn't want me there. We went to a party afterwards and she asked if I perhaps could take the bus home (my bus went by as she said that). Anyway, at the party she immediately disappeared to another spot and I didn't see her for the rest of the night. At the same time, I hooked up with another girl (haha) that had identical looks as my crush. As we were sitting in the sofa with both arms around us, the crush and her friend came past me. Her friend greeted my hook up but my crush didn't do that. She looked quite surprised and they went home after that.

So this is the situation. What do you guys think of it? What was she thinking when she saw me with the hook up? I am pretty confused and I don't know what to think about this situation. Why did she even change her mind?
