Interested in a immensely shy/depressed guy

He’s really cute and musically talented but he’s more shy than anyone I’ve known. He suffers immensely from depression, suicidal ideation, and anxiety. He started asking me to go to places with him BUT mostly in the presence of other people coming with us... I don’t know man... I text him a lot but I always text first and he lets convos die. But he’s also like INCREDIBLY shy.. won’t even make eye contact... so like it’s hard to say man.

But I don’t know if I should keep annoyingly texting him first constantly if he’s just more of an introvert. Also what if it’s coming off desperate? Also if he’s struggling this much, maybe he doesn’t have the capacity to like... be in a relationship or date or any of it anyway?

Idk what to do but I wanna text him when things happen in my day!!!

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
