So.. How to human?

So, what do you people do when you're alone together? (besides bang)

My last girlfriend and I both enjoyed playing video games together. It was our "thing" we lived together, we spent time "alone together" and time "together together". It had a decent flow to it.. (I'm not a super hardcore gamer by any reach of the imagination, it's a light hobby of mine. But I enjoy it enough)

So here's the thing: I have a decent variety of interests, but most of them are solitary things. I find myself looking for women who like video games, because I see it as something we can "do together" in the future, when we "fall in love/move in together/picket fences/two dogs/happily ever after ect" (I know I know stfu and deal with the present :-/ )

I'm trying not to have a type here folks. I'm super open to whatever life brings, buuuuut. Really. I feel like I've thought myself into a corner here. I feel like I'm oblivious to some obvious fact.

What do you people do with each other when you are not smashing? Do you just get by on awesome conversation? Do you just chill and watch TV and "Live life?"

I've looked at online dating profiles of women who are super into reading, or knitting, or travel, or art, my brain just keeps asking me, "Yea, what are you guys gonna do on Friday night?"

Basically: Do you have to have a shared hobby/passion with your significant other?
