Don't know if I should keep dating this guy or not...

I've 22f been dating this guy 23m for about 2 months now. We always have a good time and we end up making out at the end of our dates. He even spent the night at my place (no sex). As we got closer, I asked him what he thinks about us and if it's safe to say if we are exclusive since we aren't dating anyone else. He says that having sex is an important part to a relationship. I have never had sex and I told him that I need to be more emotionally ready. I don't feel ready to have sex now but it sort of feels like it's an ultimatum. Like have sex and then we can be exclusive. I don't know if I'm overthinking this. He said he is willing to wait. I'm also going home over the summer and he said the reason he is hesitant to start anything is because he has never tried LDR. Frankly I haven't tried either. I like spending time with this guy and honestly I don't want to get married or even think about settling down anytime soon. So I guess what I'm asking is, should I just continue dating this guy for fun and let things play out however they do over the summer? Or should I just stop seeing him because it's a waste of my time to see someone I don't see myself staying with in the long run?
