My favorite rule

My husband and I have this rule that when we ask each other to do something, make dinner, take out trash, do laundry, we stop whatever it is that we're doing and give them a kiss. Our requests of each other have become more intentional. We've begun asking ourselves why we are asking the other to do these. Is it because we're being lazy or are we legitimately unable to do it? If we're doing it out of laziness, we have unintentionally broken out of the laziness by giving the kiss. It makes us think "they're willing to do this for me. I should do something too instead of just sitting here."

I hope my favorite rule may help you too. :)
