First first date in two days? (20 year college student)

Hi everyone,

I am entering my junior year of college in the fall and I have a first date coming up in two days. I probably should've made a post about this much earlier since I have 0 experience when it comes to dating. I have never went on dates with anyone, never kissed, etc.. (many reasons for this such as being shy, nervous to ask a girl out, didn't want a relationship until now, and been focused on school etc).

I ended up getting a date with this girl that I matched on Bumble who turns out to be a student at my college. I am really excited but super nervous. Like I said, I have literally 0 experience when it comes to dating and I have no clue what to say to her, how to act, etc... I am also shy around girls and this led to me having too many guys friends compared to girl friends.

I am getting minor butterflies here and there as the first date is approaching and I really don't want to mess it up because she is really pretty (I know I should be confident in myself but I was surprised when she agreed to go on a date with me) and has bright future aspirations.

As much as I hate to say it, I would consider myself as boring and a bit awkward when it comes to having conversations with someone. I am terrible at making jokes and I feel like attempting to make a joke on a first date with a pretty girl is going to do more harm than good (I am terrible at jokes lol). People usually describe me as a hard-working, academically-driven, NICE guy (which apparently isn't attractive to most girls?)

We are going to go for a walk at a local park and get some snacks after (thinking of ice cream). Any tips on what to do so that the first date goes well? It'd also would be great to know how I should act differently than just hanging out (I want her to think that this is a date, not a hangout).

I'd really appreciate all the advice! Thanks!
