Being put second to anything and everything else.

Straight to the point:

My guy is a very busy guy. He’s told me that I come second when it comes to work because that’s how we are able to live. That I come second to his business partners because they need each other and are in it together with deals and contracts and whatever else. That he’ll “drop me in a second if I interfere or make problems with any of them”. I agree I’m not the nicest to all of them because their lifestyles are something I’m not comfortable with or comfortable with a married man going along with those types of things.

In one sense I think okay it’s fine cause it’s true, they are in business together. And our livelihood depends on certain trips and meetings and get togethers. It’s just annoying because I feel like I don’t get the same attention. Is it cause he doesn’t make money in out time together so I get put on the back burner and only get the free time? In the other sense I get mad like it’s not normal because we both decided, mostly him, that I wouldn’t work. So why am I not prioritized just because I don’t bring in money.

I just want to know if anyone else is in my situation and I also just wanted to write it down so I can get it out for once.
