Paying for women during dates?

I'm 18 and I'm going on my first date with this girl I met online. We are going to an arcade and watching a movie later.

I was wondering if it's necessary to pay for her popcorn/drink etc. I've read how its not good to pay for her stuff on the first date. It would show that I'm way too invested in her. But theres also the social stigma that guys should pay for girls.

I'd rather not buy her food because she committed to this date as much as I did. It seems bad for her to get everything for free. Plus I already played for the movie tickets.

That being said, I wouldn't mind paying for her if it's the better thing to do.

What's the move? If you have any other advice it would be cool if you commented it.
