I prefer black women, but I've mostly been with white women

I am a black male, but since I went off to graduate school I've mostly been on dates with white women and everyone I've slept with has been white. And I mostly get hit on by white women. It's a total 180 because in high school and college I was mostly with black women. Of course, I live in a majority white town and the profession I'm going into is majority white, but even when I'm in cities with substantial black populations, it's most white women who express interest.

I'm not one of the black guys who think black women want "thugs," because none of the ones I know do. But it is a bit confusing to me even when I'm on dating apps it's white women who largely match with me (often commenting my lips).

I should add that I got hit on way more once I got to graduate school than ever before.
