Do dates listen to what I tell them or just go along with whatever I say and ignore me?

I’ve had 2 dates this month and I let them know that I need to get to know someone well before I’m interested in anything physical. I’ve always been like this and tell them I’m not shy about making a move when I’m ready. They both agreed that connection is important and they are patient, no worries. Whole date I’m getting good vibes and interested in seeing them again. Then go for a goodnight hug and I get a tongue shoved down my throat and my chest groped. Now I’m getting I love you messages when I’m feeling violated. Is this dating now?

The difference between being right and being understood

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
