Vaginal burning after PIV male ejaculation?

When my boyfriend (24M) and I (22F) had sex on a weekend getaway we decided that since I’m well-on birth control now we’d try sex without a condom and that we’d let him cum inside. Sex was absolutely amazing and super enjoyable for both of us! When he came inside, everything seemed/felt great. No issues or discomfort for me. Then 5ish minutes later, the inside of my vagina started to build a burning sensation. Then as time went on it got worse until it was so uncomfortable/painful I couldn’t move or it’d hurt worse. This would last about half an hour of serious pain until I slept it off.

When I wake up it doesn’t burn at all anymore. No new lube or changes in our routine except the cumming inside. When we had sex again, I had no pain or discomfort at all during or while/immediately after he came in me - then same exact results.

Any idea what this could be??
