Ever been approached through LinkedIn?

I have a feeling this guy sat there for longer than he should have when he constructed his message. I'm off of dating sites and you can't really add me anywhere. Thing is, I don't even remember seeing him at this community event where he says he saw me (it wasn't a dating event or anything). So I'm a little creeped out because I have no idea who he is. We had name tags with our first name and mine is pretty unusual, but I'm still creeped out/slightly impressed that he found me. What now? I literally have no idea who he is. I know the message sounds benign but I'm getting slight stalker vibes considering...

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
