Is ghosting all that bad?

Signed up for bumble, within two hours I had over 50 prospects. It’s tough to find someone that would be a an actually good match out there right after a match happens. I feel being on reddit helps me understand how hurtful ghosting can be and how hard dating really is but sometimes and i try to be more aware but it’s just too much, conversations fall flat and it’s just a lot to respond to someone when you really don’t know what else to say. I’ve gotten ghosted via dating app, through texting and after dates, I really don’t mind because its a quick way to eliminate people. I just want people to know that even though some people seem to get more options they’re still vulnerable. So just want to say for those struggling out there keep trying because maybe you’ll finally find the one that can keep up a conversation or someone that accepts that second date.

I get having too many prospects and not getting many is a huge disconnect but online dating is just tough all around.

I do wonder though, are people really against ghosting all together or is it just mainly terrible after you’ve been dating and had plans set?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
