Need advice on how to follow up.
30F: 31M Person I’ve been talking to quite regularly and it was going very well. They went on a work trip and said would keep in touch. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard a word. I txt them something casual three days in, like hey I ran into this today, pretty light stuff, and no response. We talked about how they’d be busy and they wouldn’t have time to engage. They went on a work trip before and didn’t talk much but would send me updates about what they were doing throughout the trip. They were also somewhat responsive. I know it doesn’t bode well, but I’m fairly certain they’ll contact me to reconnect when they get home. I still want to be friends, but how do I go about this without seeming like a needy person? Thanks
Edit: I have a crazy schedule and sometimes they’ll call me and I can’t get back right away. So ignoring phone calls won’t really help the issue. I feel like if I bring up the subject I’ll seem needy. They are a really good friend. But I guess I’m having issues with reverting the relationship to platonic without making a scene. Thanks again
