Dating with HPV?

Throwaway here.

I recently found out that my ex likely has a type of hpv that causes genital warts. Although I've never found warts on myself and we used protection I'm almost positive that I must be a carrier due to the amount of time we were intimate before I was told... Since I'm a male and there's no hpv test I've been urging her to go to the doctor but she has yet to do so. I want to date in the future but the idea of giving anyone I might care about warts is driving me crazy.... Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I feel lost, angry, confused but most of all just depressed that I can't see myself dating ever again out of a fear of infecting someone and hurting them like I feel hurt.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
