Something that helps :)
“In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.” -Rumi
So, my boyfriend and I have been doing long-distance for a while now! We are so very fortunate and try to see each other once a month (we are 4 and a half hours away but are both extremely busy due to work and our specific majors). When we do see each other, we make a point to exchange hand-written letters. One time, I wrote this quote to describe the love I felt for him. I find that it’s so hard to write about “love” as a concept because what I feel for him seems so much stronger than that. I feel this quote about him. I wrote in the letter “I quote you” and now we use it as a little joke and it makes my day infinitely brighter when we do those little things. All gushing aside though, this quote is lovely, as well as all of Rumi’s other works.
