Is there any point in me (25M) apologizing (27F) to her?

So I met this girl off Coffee Meets Bagel last Friday, and we agreed to see The Avengers, and get dinner. Overall I think there was some chemistry and she seemed like a cool person. I told her this, ad she said I was cool too, and we agreed to try and make plans before she goes off to Mexico next week.

This is where things got awkward, and I think I made a mistake. I tried to kiss her. She ended up cheeking me. Meaning I went for the lips and she turned away so my lips ended up on her cheek. I thought about apologizing, but thought that would make things worse.

The next day I texted her and said it was great meeting her. She said same and that she had a wonderful time. Ok I thought to myself, maybe I didn't completely blow it.

Then yesterday I reached out and asked her if she was still free this Sunday. She said she had volleyball tournament, but asked how I was doing? Ok she's busy, but asking how I'm doing seems like a way to express interest. Right? I told her I was doing fine, and asked her how long she'd be in Mexico? It's been over 24 hours and no response. I now think it's safe to assume she's decided she's not into me:/

I'm ready to cut my losses and move on, but I was wondering if it would be weird if I just messaged her and apologized for trying to kiss her. Even though, I don't think trying to get a good night kiss after a date makes me a creep, I really do feel bad that I may have put her an uncomfortable position. So it's not like my apology would be insincere. I'm not really expecting an apology to get me a 2nd chance, but I'd rather end things on good terms. So would apologizing be weird or would it just be a kind gesture.
